Johnny Cash: City of New Orleans

"Within 25 years, our goal is to give 80% of Americans access to high-speed rail, which could allow you go places in half the time it takes to travel by car. For some trips, it will be faster than flying – without the pat-down. As we speak, routes in California and the Midwest are already underway."

BLO: Chapters and Phases

This is a recording of both albums by BLO (Chapter One & Phase 2) that is a hybrid between the bands Nigerian roots and psychedelic rock. From what I gather, members from BLO were listening to The Isley Brothers and Grand Funk Railroad when they decided to take their native Nigerian sound and blend it with the sounds of the american bands they were listening to at the time. Well, this new hybrid of sound was an instantaneous success, with fans cheering for more. With hypnotic bass lines, chanting vocals and funky guitar, BLO made a sound that was new and exciting, making them instant stars during the ever popular music scene in Nigeria during the 1970's.

Stan Getz & João Gilberto: Getz/Gilberto

This 1964 bossa nova record has such a soft and subtle sound. A collaboration with American saxophonist Getz and Brazilian guitarist Gilberto, this album was awarded Best Album of the Year in 1965. You cannot skip on this record. Every song delivers and if you are living in the Northeast right now, its warm sounds are welcoming during a winter that has been bombarded us with chilled winds and white snow.

To All Good Things, Goodnight

Due to some various reasons, technical being the primary one, Garden Grass & Crap will no longer be updated. When I first realized that GGC will be no longer I panicked for some reason. What will the people that come visit GGC do? Will everything I have posted over the past three years disappear and all be lost forever. Shortly afterwards, I looked at the issue as a blessing in disguise. I have decided to start fresh around here but keep the same style for all to enjoy. It will continue to consist of various forms of media to enjoy. I actually expected to add some sounds to enjoy momentarily.

So with that said I will say goodnight to Garden Grass & Crap.
